The College is a self - financing institution established and managed by the Federal Bank Officers’ Association (FBOA) Educational Society, the sole representative body of the entire in Federal Bank with 35 years of yeomen services to its credit. The society has been formed with the aim of establishing a Center of Excellence for professional studies.     
      
  Federal Institute of (FISAT) is set up at Mookannoor, near Angamaly, Ernakulam District, Kerala, the birth place of the founder of the Federal Bank, Late KP Hormis. To honour the revered memory of the great visionary, the site where FISAT has been set up is christened 'Hormis Nagar'.   
      
  Its aim is to develop the institution as a Center of Excellence in technical education, which, in turn will bring out technocrats with superior skill and social skill and social commitment. It will be the earnest endeavour of the Institution to provide state-of-art- facilities to mould brilliant young talents enabling them to take-up challenging assignments in the highly competitive global scenario. The Institutes is affiliated to Mahathma Ganghi University, Kottayam.   
      
  The Managing Committee consists of members with good academic excellence and proven organising ability.   
      
  Sri. R. Satheeshchandra Babu, President of Federal Bank Officers' Association is the Presidents. Sri. P V Mathew, General Secretary of FBOA and National Vice- President of All India Bank Officers’ Confederation is the Secretary of the Society. He is also the Chairman of the governing body of the college. The society enjoys the whole- hearted patronage of officers of Federal Bank, which is having the largest branch network among the Private Sector Banks in the Country.   
      
  The society has enlisted the support of many luminaries from the fields of education, technology, administration and banking to guide the functioning of FISAT. The Advisory Board of the Society consists of eminent personalities with Proven capabilities including Dr. K P Rajappan, former Head of the Department of Electronics, IIT-Chennai, Sri. K P Fabian, IFS [Retd.], former Ambassador of India to Italy and Gulf Countries, Dr. KSM Paniker, Former Principal, Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara and Prof. Jose Pappu, Former Principal, St. Alosious College, Thrissur.
