DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS
The MCA programme started in Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT) in the year 2006. MCA Department has a team of competent and committed faculty and very good infrastructure facilities. Systematic Teaching – Learning process and other regular academic activities produced many academic achievements which include first ranks in 2010, 2012, 2015, second rank in 2015 and third rank in 2011, 2016 (MCA-two-year programme) in MG University MCA examinations and excellence results in A P J Abdual Kalam University MCA examinations from 2016 onwards.
Regular industrial visits and personality development trainings are part of the academic programme to improve the employability. Reputed MNCs have recruited many of our graduates in their campus placement drives.

1. Mark List and Pass Certificate (wherever applicable) of Plus II / PDC/ Equivalent in original.
2. Two self-attested copies of the above Mark List and Pass Certificate.
3. SSLC/ Secondary Examination certificate in original for proof of age; with two self-attested copies.
4. Degree Certificate and Mark lists with two self-attested copies each.
5. Physical fitness certificate from a Government Medical Practitioner.
6. Transfer Certificate in original from the Institution last studied.
7. Course and conduct certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied.
8. Migration certificate in original, for students who have passed degree from Universities out of Kerala.
9. Eligibility certificate from KTU, for students who have passed degree from Universities out of Kerala.
10. Admit card of Entrance Examination in original (If available).
11. Result sheet of the Entrance Examination in original (If available).
12. Four passport size & three stamp size (color) photographs.
13. True copy of Aadhaar card.
14. A candidate who is employed or is a trainee in Govt. / Quasi Govt. /Banks etc. shall, at the time of interview, produce a relieving order and a certificate of good conduct from the head of the institution where the candidate was employed.

Govt. Quota
Management Quota
The remaining 50% seats are under management Quota. Admission to Management seats is conducted by the Management. Admission is strictly on the basis of merit. Applications are available online. Candidates need to submit only one online application for Govt./Management Quota.
1. Eligibility for Admission
The candidate should have a minimum CGPA of 6.0 in a 10 point scale in the Engineering Degree Examination. For SEBC (OBC) students, the minimum CGPA requirement is 5.5 in a 10 point scale. Wherever the credit system is/was followed, only CGPA will be considered for selection. If the candidate has obtained the bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a University where credit system is/was not followed, he/she should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (For SEBC /OBC students, a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the Engineering Degree examination is mandatory). For SC/ST candidates a pass in the Engineering Degree Programme is sufficient.
1.2 The candidates shall be an Indian National.
1.3 Candidates, who have passed AMIE / AMIETE Examinations and satisfying the following conditions, are also eligible for admission. i) They must have valid GATE score. ii) A minimum of 55% marks for section B in AMIE/AMIETE examination.
1.4 Candidates who have degrees awarded from other Universities shall submit Eligibility Certificate as well as Migration Certificate at the time of admission.
1.5 Sponsored candidates from Industries, R&D organizations, National Laboratories as well as Educational Institutions, with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering are eligible for admission to the M.Tech Programme.
1.6 Admission shall normally be restricted to those with valid GATE score. However, this stipulation is relaxed in the case of sponsored candidates. In case seats remain vacant due to lack of candidates with valid GATE score, candidates without valid GATE score shall be considered. Admission to such seats will be made on the basis of their CGPA/% marks scored in their Engineering Degree.
1.7 The reservation policy of the Government of Kerala shall be followed in admission to the M.Tech. programme.
1.8 Candidates who have appeared for the final examination can also apply provided he/ she has passed all the subjects up to and including the 6th semester exam. Such candidate shall submit self attested copies of all mark lists up to 6th semester along with the application. Selection of such candidates shall be subject to the production of qualifying degree satisfying clauses (1.1 to 1.6)
1.9 Admission procedure is subject to modification as may be deemed necessary subject to further orders, if any, passed by appropriate authorities.

2.4 General Instructions
a) Applications should be complete in all respects. A candidate will be considered for admission, only if he/she has furnished the relevant certificates prescribed in the Prospectus, in proof of eligibility or in support of any claim for reservation, under any category.
b) Documents or certificates furnished after submission of the application will not be entertained under any circumstances. No opportunity will be given to incorporate any details after the submission of the application.
c) All basic information required is to be filled in with utmost care. The data provided in the offline application will be used for processing the application.
d) Any error in filling the offline application or providing false/incomplete/wrong information will affect the candidate's eligibility for admission or claim for reservation under any category. Furnishing false information/ particulars would result in the forfeiture of the candidature as well as the cancellation of admission at any stage, even after admission.
g) The college will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss of application during transit.
h) Candidates are advised to keep a copy of completed application form for further reference.

3. Fee & Scholarship Structure
Fees will be as per the rules and regulations fixed by the Government and University. Semester fee is Rs. 35000/-. However based on merit and means, an amount upto 25000 per semester will be offered as scholarship in non-Civil Engineering branches. Candidates with valid GATE score need to pay govt engineering college fee in FISAT for non-Civil Engineering branches.
Note: University registration, Examination fee, Uniform expenses will have to be paid at the time of admission.

MBA Admissions 2022
Total intake: 120 seats
Eligibility
-> A pass in degree examination with 50% marks (60% marks desirable) in aggregate for Arts/Commerce /Science/ Engineering and for post graduates. Final year students are also eligible to apply.
-> Good score in any Management Aptitude Test- C-MAT / CAT/KMAT (The minimum qualifying cut off marks of KMAT Kerala Entrance Examination shall be 15% (108/720) for General Category from the academic year 2020. The minimum cut off for SEBC will be 10% (72/720) and 7.5% (54/720) for SC/ST).
Selection
The selection of candidates is purely based on merit. Admission to the MBA programme is determined by the scores obtained by the candidate in the admission test, group discussion,personal interview and a consistent academic record.
